Founded by World War I veterans in 1922, ROA has always been the nation’s premier advocate for Guard and Reserve service members and veterans. We honor this legacy every year on October 1-22 by giving back to the communities and service members who make our Reserve Components strong, ready, and empowered. Veteran’s Last Patrol
  • Send Cards of Gratitude to veterans via Veteran’s Last Patrol
  • Volunteer with Veteran’s Last Patrol to visit veterans in hospice
VetJobs
  • Encourage local employers to list vacancies on VetJobs to recruit Guard & Reserve members
  • Highlight to employers the benefits of hiring Guard and Reserve members
Interview a Guard or Reserve veteran for the Veteran’s History Project
Department and Chapter Events
  • Our Departments and Chapters can organize their own service opportunities in their local communities highlighting ROA and our Reserve Components
