    ACP (American Corporate Partners ACP) is a unique nonprofit that combats underemployment by providing free, customized, fully supported and monitored, one-on-one mentorships for post-9/11 service members, active duty military spouses, and veterans. More than 26,000 C-suite executives and employees from over 2,200 companies have volunteered as mentors, and 40,000+ veterans and spouses have completed the mentorship program thus far.

        CYBR.SEC.Careers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building the cybersecurity workforce our economy depends on. They expand access to cybersecurity career pathways by connecting students and veterans, including members of the Guard and Reserve, with the exposure, education, certifications, and mentorship they need to enter and grow in the field. They offer a wide range of programs and scholarships, including the Taylor Austin Broussard Memorial Scholarship for students and veterans who wish to pursue a career in cybersecurity.

                      JROTC INSTRUCTORS

                      Starting in 2025, currently serving officers and NCOs in the National Guard and Reserve forces can serve as Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) instructors. Minimum requirements include eight years of cumulative service, and either currently serving, retired, or separated within the last five years. Pay is equivalent to that of a GS10/11, starting at around $60,000/year.

                        AMERICORPS NCCC

                        AmeriCorps NCCC is a 10‑month federal national service program for young adults ages 18–24. The program strengthens communities and develops future leaders through full-time, team-based national service. Volunteers deploy across the country to support projects in disaster preparedness and response, environmental stewardship, infrastructure improvement, and urban and rural development. All program-related expenses are covered, and Volunteers earn over $7,300 towards qualifying education expenses upon successful completion. AmeriCorps NCCC partners with nonprofits, government agencies, public schools and universities, and Native American tribal communities to meet locally identified needs.                           VETERANS' PREFERENCE ADVISOR

                          Your Reserve service may already qualify you for Veterans’ Preference! The Veterans’ Preference Advisor was developed by the Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) to allow veterans to examine the preferences for which they might be entitled with regard to Federal jobs. In addition, VETS allows Veterans’ Preference claimants to submit a claim electronically. VETS staff members are available to provide technical assistance prior to filing an official claim.

                                The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) program can help you navigate the expectations between your Reserve service and your civilian employer.                                   ROA RESERVE SERVICE LAW CENTER

                                  Reserve Component service is a balance between your civilian education and career and your obligations to the military. The ROA Reserve Service Law Center provides the resources you need to know your employment and re-enployment rights, navigate issues like veteran’s benefits, military justice and claims against the government (“tort” claims).

                                    Your state offers additional benefits for your Reserve service; many specifically assist members of their state Guard forces find employment.
