Required Chapter Reports for Dues Rebates
ROA’s Bylaws require all Chapters to submit the following 3 reports to our national headquarters. Most Departments also require a copy of the reports to be submitted to the Department.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Election reports must be submitted within 30 days of the election. A special note to chapter officers. The email generated by the submit button is only addressed to our national headquarters. You will need to add the address of your department secretary to insure your department also receives a copy of your submission. FINANCIAL REPORT
A financial report must be sent annually within 45 days of the close of the chapter’s fiscal year. Excom Policy E-19 Section for mandates that all ROA Department and Chapter fiscal years end on 31 December. Attach a copy of the March Bank Statement for each account help by the chapter. Also include a copy of the email from the IRS as stated below. A special note to chapter officers. The email generated by the submit button is only addressed to our national headquarters. INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE
IRS reports must be filed annually with copies to national headquarters. Most Chapters are eligible to file a 990-N, which is an online, 8-question form. Chapters will include as an attachment the email they receive from the IRS stating that their submission has been accepted. (If you don’t see one, be sure to check your spam/junk folder.) This email should be attached to the financial report.
