Our Reserve Component service members account for nearly half of the 2.5 million individuals that serve our country as part of our armed forces. They are the backbone of our ready and resilient military.
From responding to disasters at home to supporting missions around the world, these men and women answer the call whenever they’re needed.
But they bring more than just military training. They bring real-world expertise that strengthens both our national defense and our communities. They bridge military capability with civilian society in a way active-duty forces alone cannot.
They may serve on a part-time basis, but they make a full-time impact.
And it is our responsibility as a society to take care of our reserve forces and their families and provide them with the pay, benefits, and support they’ve earned while serving us and our country.
Our reserves have a RIGHT to these benefits, and today, we introduce you to the ROA Reserve Component Bill of Rights.
ROA is here to champion our reserves and support them on every step of their journey. And our Bill of Rights will be our guidepost.
