Children's Writing Contest
We’re inviting all eligible military connected children or grandchildren between the ages of 10 and 14 years old to tell us in 500 words or less how your family’s military service has helped to protect our nation. Entries are being accepted though June 15, 2026, with prizes of up to $1000 for the winning essays!
AWARDS
Army Junior Officer of the Year
The ROA Outstanding Army Junior Officer of the Year award is presented annually to a Junior Officer to recognize the achievements and dedicated service of our Army Reserve and Army National Guard Junior Officers. Nominations for the 2026 award must be submitted by July 30, 2026.
Warrant Officer of the Year
The annual CW4 Michael J. Novosel Award for ROA’s Outstanding Warrant Officer of the Year is open to Reserve Warrant Officers from all services. General or Flag Officer Commands are invited to nominate a warrant officer from their command for the 2026 award by the July 30, 2026, deadline.
