Calling All Reserve NCO's & Petty Officers - We Need YOUR Help!

ROA is writing curriculum for a Reserve Component-specific NCO Academy. Topics will include an overview of the Guard and Reserve forces; a deep dive into pay, benefits, and transition; an online wargame teaching the basics of mobilization; maintaining fitness off duty; the art and science of leading during and after drill; and resources to enhance your subordinate’s Reserve service. House Passes FY 2027 NDAA Carrying Reserve Component Priorities ROA Spent the Year Building

The House passed H.R. 8800, the FY 2027 National Defense Authorization Act, on July 22nd by a vote of 216 to 212, advancing a bill that carries cost-free dental care for junior enlisted reservists, a funding limitation protecting the Army Reserve's Expeditionary Combat Aviation Brigades, annual reporting on the Army Transformation Initiative, and the first congressional action on Duty Status Reform in years.

ROA Submits Views on Senate Armed Services Committee's FY 2027 Defense Bill

ROA has submitted its formal views to the Senate Armed Services Committee on the FY 2027 NDAA as reported by the committee, backing provisions that preserve Reserve Component force structure and combat medical capability while raising concerns about a proposed rescoping of drill travel reimbursement.
